Start with a station, wherever you live
If you are listening from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, the UAE, South Africa, Australia or elsewhere, online radio can help you keep up with Nigerian voices and music. Start with our Nigerian radio directory, choose a station and press its Listen button. This guide uses stations that responded to Radio Naija’s stream checks when the guide was prepared. A successful check does not guarantee access from every country or network.
Choose by what you want to hear
Use the language directory to explore broadcasters’ declared languages rather than guessing from a station’s name. The genre directory groups listings by their supplied categories. A station may mix languages or programmes; these tags are not a promise about the show currently on air. The station search is useful when you already know a name or city.

A practical listening routine
Open a station page before starting playback. Review its listed country, city and languages, then press Play. If you want another sound, use the related stations on that page rather than repeatedly refreshing the same stream. Favorites can help you return to a station you enjoyed. Our directory links to broadcaster-operated streams: Radio Naija does not control their programmes or schedules.
Time zones and programmes
A stream follows the broadcaster’s schedule, not your device’s local time. Consult the broadcaster’s official website for a programme time, then convert it for your location and date. Daylight-saving changes can alter that conversion. We do not invent show times, presenters or football commentary rights when a verified schedule has not been supplied.
If a station will not play
First check your connection and try pressing Play again. Browsers may require a tap before audio starts. Some streams have geographic restrictions, expired links or temporary outages. HTTP-only audio can be blocked on an HTTPS website. If a broadcaster provides an official alternative, check that source; otherwise choose another listed station. Do not assume that a paid subscription or a different device will remove a broadcaster restriction.
Listening on a phone
Test playback with your screen on first. Background behaviour varies by browser, stream and device. Effects or recording that route audio through the page can change background playback behaviour. Mobile data usage depends on bitrate and listening time; use Wi-Fi or check your data plan when needed.
Explore beyond these suggestions
These examples are a starting point, not a ranking of every Nigerian broadcaster. Browse Nigerian stations, explore countries, or report a missing or incorrect station. There is no need to create separate near-identical guides for each diaspora country: the listening steps are shared, while actual stream availability remains station-specific.
Sources and checks
Station details come from Radio Naija’s stored broadcaster and community-directory records. Every station link above opens its source details and most recent check information. Directory source: Radio Browser. This guide was assembled from that inventory, not copied from a competing article. Last validated: 2026-10-16.
